In the Hub City, two major festivals are noted for attracting large crowds - Festivals Acadiens et Créoles and Festival International.
A new coalition is coming together to clean up the city of Opelousas.
That task force is made up of workers from the city's Code Enforcement Department, Streets Department and Parks and Recreation. It assembles every Wednesday to clean an area of the city in need of help.
That team spent much of Wednesday cleaning up the east side of Interstate 49 from Judson Walsh to U.S. 190.
The goal is to create a healthy, attractive community.
