Opelousas shooting suspect in custody

Opelousas police say they have a suspect in custody in connection with a fatal shooting on Nicole Lane in Opelousas.

32-year-old Nathaniel McCoy Jr. of Opelousas. He has been taken into custody regarding a warrant for Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office on the charge of one count of attempted second degree murder.

The victim in the shooting has been identified as Robbie White of Opelousas.
