OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) - A meeting for Louisiana farmers growing wheat and feed grains is planned for Thursday.
The session will be held at the Opelousas Civic Center and is sponsored by the LSU AgCenter.
Registration at 7 a.m. The program starts at 7:45 a.m.
St. Landry Parish LSU agriculture agent Vince Deshotel says topics include fuel storage tank regulations, the status of wheat and feed grain crops, disease management, soybean variety selection, soil fertility, corn hybrid selection, weed control, the economic outlook for feed grains and soybeans, and controlling wild hogs.
