Landrieu: $2.5 M in Disaster Loans Canceled for Delcambre

Updated:

The actions of Louisiana Congresswoman Mary Landrieu has lightened the debt load for the town of Delcambre.

U.S. Senator Landrieu announced that Delcambre's $305,000 Community Disaster Loan has been completely canceled under a provision that she authored as part of her fiscal year 2013 Homeland Security Appropriations bill.

The provision fixed a flawed formula that prevented the cancellation of $228 million in many South Louisiana communities.

Since August Senator Landrieu has announced $195.2 million in CDL loan forgiveness for Louisiana communities.
