New Details in Deputy Involved Shooting


New details have been released in connection with Sunday night's shooting in Breaux Bridge involving an off-duty deputy.

Thirty four-year-old Kendall Alexander was allegedly shot by his wife, 33-year-old Crystal Alexander, who is a deputy with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Department.

According to Saint Martin Parish court documents, Crystal filed three restraining orders against Kendall starting in 2005.

In those same documents, Kendall,who was a former Breaux Bridge Police Officer, abused, threatened, and stalked crystal.

He resigned as an officer in 2007 after he was arrested and charged with battery and disturbing the peace following a fight with Crystal.

The most recent restraining order was dismissed in 2008.
