Ragin' Cajuns visit New Orleans hospital

Updated:

The Ragin' Cajuns football team took a break from all the pre-game preps on Thursday to take time for a special cause.

KLFY's Hope Ford had the opportunity to head over to the Children's Hospital in New Orleans, where all the senior players of the team, spent some of their down time with a few patients.

The team arrived and headed to floors three and four to you and me but for these patients, it's the cancer, blood disorder and dialysis floors.

Seniors visited kids of different ages, handed out Ragin' Cajun memorabilia, footballs, hats, T-shirts, and really took some time talking to each patient making them laugh even singing Christmas carols to them.

Coach Mark Hudspeth says besides practices, media luncheons and parades, this is a much anticipated Cajun Bowl tradition.
