Suspect in dual shootings arrested

OPD investigators have arrested 22 year old Kwame' Stevens of 628 Pamella St Opel. La. in regards to two (2) shootings, one of which occurred Friday Dec 13th where he shot at his victim four (4) times striking the vehicle only.

On yesterday at 4:20pm near Blanchard and Oak Street,  Stevens again saw his intended target and shot at him at least seven (7) times, this time striking him in the left hand. 

This morning, I OPD investigators received a tip in regards to a possible location on Stevens. Several officers converged on the area and after a short foot pursuit apprehended Stevens.

Stevens has been charged with Att. 1st Degree Murder and Resisting an Officer, he will go before a magistrate in the morning.

The investigation has revealed the motive for the shooting to be drug related.
