Attempted Homicide Investigation Continues

Lafayette, LA - On December 5, 2013, at approximately 8:00 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a parking lot in the 1800 block of the NE Evangeline Thruway regarding a shooting.  The victim stated that he drove up to a store to pick someone up, when a dark colored SUV parked near him.  An unknown person fired one shot from the SUV, striking the 18 year old male victim in the face.  The suspect(s) then fled the area in the vehicle.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigators have identified through surveillance video three persons of interest that may have knowledge or be involved in the shooting.  Anyone with information as to the identity of the persons captured in the video is encouraged to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
