Updated:

Dinner is on the stove and guests are arriving. But no matter how hectic it gets - fire fighters are warning families to put safety first.

Remember with the Thanksgiving craziness - lurks the danger of house fires. Here's one more fire safety message before the chaos begins. Firefighters say don't leave pots on the burner unattended no matter how busy the house gets.

Plus, remember a bad place for paper and dish towels is next to the stove.

And also don't remove the batteries from the smoke detector, regardless of how many times it goes off while you're in the kitchen.
