The University of Louisiana at Lafayette police are currently investigating a stabbing that took place last night at Legacy Park apartments, located on campus.  

According to UL Lafayette Police Information Officer, Sgt. Billy Abrams, authorities have arrested 19-year-old Karshayla Thomas in connection to the stabbing.

The victim has received treatment for minor injuries and has been released from the hospital.  

Thomas was also taken to the hospital for observation.  

Charges are pending against the 19-year-old.

The case is still under investigation.
