LPSS votes to dismiss the District Attorney's Office as the board's general counsel

Updated:

By a vote of 6 to 3, the Lafayette Parish School Board on Wednesday voted to dismiss the Lafayette Parish District Attorney's office as the board's general counsel.

It was done over the objections of superintendent Dr. Pat Cooper who told the board it can't afford to drop a service that's free of charges.
