Youngsville schools no longer under lockdown

Both Green T. Lindon and Youngsville Middle School released their lock down status within 30 minutes, deputies requested the precautionary status while information on the person who had escaped could be obtained. Deputies will remain on both campus' through the remainder of the school day.

Once deputies confirmed that there was no danger to the schools the schools released the lockdown status. 

25-years-old Ashley Perkins was wanted by Abbeville police for traffic charges, and was a suspect in another traffic incident that occurred in the Lafayette City Limits.  She escaped from the police while still handcuffed wearing a green shirt and grey sweat pants.  

Perkins remains at large.
