Lafayette man arrested after police find 41 grams of heroin

The Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force completed a month long investigation which has resulted in the arrest of one individual.

Michael Katter of Lafayette has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I narcotics specifically heroin.

On October 22 a search warrant was served at the residence of Katter and during the search agents located 41 grams of heroin. The street value amounted to $16,400.

Authorities say it's the largest amount of heroin ever taken off a single person in Lafayette Parish.
