    One of the most unique festivals in Louisiana held its second annual day of events at Acadian Village. The 5th South Louisiana Black Pot Festival & cook-off was celebrated with great music and food.More >>

The South Louisiana Black Pot Festival & Cookoff kicks off this weekend at Acadian Village.

The festival features a black pot cook off, accordion contest, camping and more.

Some of the bands performing include Pine Leaf Boys, Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco RoadRunners, Little Freddie King, Red Stick Ramblers and more.

The music gets started Friday at 5 p.m. and runs till midnight. Saturday is from 11:30 a.m. till midnight.

Admission is $20 Friday and $30 Saturday. Saturday's entry fee includes free tasting at all cook-off foods. Children under 12 get in free.
