The Ragin Cajuns won its 5th straight game on Tuesday night in Jonesboro, Arkansas against Arkansas State. The 23-7 win, was the first for 3rd year Cajun Head Coach Mark Hudspeth, and he has running back Alonzo Harris to thank for the victory.
Harris rushed 29 times for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. He wasn't the only member of the offense putting up numbers. UL Freshman running back Elijah McGuire didn't score a touchdown, but he did have 10 carries and 110 yards rushing. Quarterback Terrance Broadway went 18-28 and 205 yards passing, and his favorite target, Jamal Robinson caught 7 balls for 104 yards.
The Cajuns also dominated the time of possession with 42:17 to the Red Wolves 17:42. During those 17 minutes ASU could only find the endzone once.
The win gives Louisiana a 5-2, 3-0 record and UL will face off with New Mexico State on Nov. 2nd at Cajun Field.
