Morgan City man wanted for attempted murder charges

Authorities in Morgan City are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man on attempted second degree murder charges.

40 year old Barron F. Kenner of Morgan City is wanted in connection with a shooting on October 21, 2013.

The shooting took place at the intersection of Federal Avenue and Orange Street. Two victims were treated for what are described as non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Immediately following the shooting, two nearby schools, J.B. Maitland Elementary and Holy Cross/Central Catholic were placed on lockdown.

Kenner is described as a black male, 5 ft. 10 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds.
