Gary: Today on your lawn and garden we're talking about feeding deer and John what do we have right here?
John: Well we have several products but October and November are the months to put it out there. We have seed mixes from Pennington that have oats, wheats, cereal rye, and your clovers and also Austrian winter peas, that is one of the best things. We have that by itself, if you just want the Austrian winter peas, we have that. They come up so easy, just like the wheat and the oats, so this is one easy way.
Now some people want to make their own mixes. We have the clover mixes down here that you can mix up with rye grass, all kind of different things. But you want to get it out right now since we have had some good rain and with the moisture once you put it out usually within a week it is up.
Then we also have some things to lure them. We have the molasses that you can put on stumps and different things like that around there and that gets them active in that area. But this is the time of the year to put it out and get ready.
