St. Martin Parish authorities arrested eight people in connection with a meth lab operation.

Authorities responded to a complaint Tuesday of illegal drug activity at a residence located in the 1000 Block of Duchamp Road in St. Martinville. While investigating the incident, authorities found an active meth lab inside the house.

The following eight people were arrested and charged with operation of a clandestine laboratory for the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jeremiah Richard: Age 25: South St. Mallory St-Abbeville

Victor Rivoire Age: 52:      Fillia Drive-Lafayette

Geraldine Soto: Age 50:   Federal Avenue-Morgan City

Jessica Aucoin: Age36:    Duchamp Road-Broussard

Amanda Francis: Age32:  Duchamp Road-Broussard

Grady Domino: Age43:    Daisy Lane-St. Martinville

Christina Soto: Age33:   Duchamp Road-Broussard
