Gary: On this episode of Lawn & Garden it's time to plant, but what do you plant? John is gonna give us an idea.

John: Yeah, we're gonna be getting into the Fall seeds and plants like cabbage broccoli cauliflower and all that good stuff. A lot of people are afraid to plant seeds but there's mustard, turnips, lettuce all these things that come in seeds, we sell them at the store, and they come up so easy.  3 to 4 days and it's a better rooted plant. Right now it's a little late to plant broccoli, stuff like that. You can still plant it, but most people are going with the plants right now.

In the garden, what I did about three weeks ago, I planted some more cucumbers and okra.  The only thing that's gonna hurt it is a good frost or a freeze, but usually we're okay for a good while. So my cucumbers are looking real good right now.

Shallots are another thing you can put in right now. This is your onion tops, you plat these, you break them apart, and each one will make a plant. Use your onion tops for gumbos and things like that. Parsley, don't forget to plant your parsley right now, too. Get that ready for the gumbo season.

Let me show you planting one of my cabbages right here. I've already put in the 5 2020 fertilizer so everything is already fertilized. All you got to do it work it up, plant it, and water it.  When you plant cabbage and all that they're not real strong at first so you're gonna have to water well every day until after about a week when they're strong enough.

And don't forget to throw in some ant granules that specifically have the instructions for ants. Throw them in your garden. Make sure you don't have any ants because they can get bad at this time of the year.
