The Vermilion Parish 4-H Foundation is hosting a "Sporting Clay Shoot" Fundraiser on Saturday, September 7 at the G.O.L. Shooting Range, 11919 Louisiana Highway 697 in Maurice.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the first flight begins at 9 a.m.  Participants will enjoy a lunch and auction at 11 a.m. with the second flight beginning at 12:30 p.m.  Each participant will receive a t-shirt, food and refreshments.  Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place teams and high point individuals.  There will also be a Youth Skeet Shoot for those age 18 and under.  Skeet shoot participants must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.  There will be 2 age divisions, 13 and under and 14 and over.  First place in each division will receive a Lifetime Hunting License.

Participants must bring their own shells.  2 and 3/4, 7 and 1/2, 8 and 9 shot are allowed, along with eye and ear protection.  Also, bring your own gator, mules, or golf carts, no 4-wheelers allowed.
