The Washington Police Department are investigating a shooting that took place earlier this weekend.

Officers report when Raekwon Mitchell attempted to carjack a vehicle, he fired at two victims, landing one in the hospital with a non life-threatening injury. Officers found Mitchell hiding in a nearby wooded area, after he ditched the car while trying to escape.

Mitchell was booked for two counts of attempted first degree murder, one count of carjacking, one count of no drivers license, and one count of reckless operation. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
