Burglary suspects start fire at Lafayette gas station - KLFY News 10

Arson at Lafayette gas station

Lafayette firefighters responded to the Murphy Oil Gas Station located at 1227 NW Evangeline Thruway Tuesday morning for a commercial fire. When firefighters arrived heavy smoke was coming from the interior of the store. The fire was quickly extinguished. The interior of the store sustained moderate fire and smoke damage.

The store was closed at the time of the incident. The fire was intentionally set. It was determined that the store was burglarized then set on fire. Fire investigators are continuing the investigation to determine who is responsible.
