Search continues for the Nina and crew

Posted: Updated:

Thursday marks the 64th day that Danielle Wright and the other six members aboard the Nina went missing in the South Pacific. Authorities called off the search July 8th, but Danielle's parents are not willing to give up hope.

"We have a lot of faith in God that they're taken care if, that God's taking care of them. We have a lot if confidence in our friend, Captain David Dyche. He has years and years of experience on the high seas. We have faith in the boat, The Nina" says Ricky Wright, Danielle's father.

With faith and the help of Texas Equusearch, the S/V Nina Search Fund was created. "We have to go forward with it so we're raising funds to be able to support that search. Texas Equusearch is collecting all the funding. And we're paying the people down in Australia and New Zealand to do the actual searches for us.""

A Facebook page was created to further spread the word of bringing home the Nina and her crew. Members of the community are also doing their part by making donations and displaying blue ribbons outside their homes.

The Wright's also ask for everyone to remain positive, and to keep all members of the Nina's crew lifted in prayer.

Her mom wants her to know one thing, "Mom and dad are coming for you. Hold out hope."
