On Thursday June 27, and again on Friday June 28, at approximately 10 a.m., Lafayette police will be escorting large pieces of heavy equipment, beginning at Ambassador Caffery Pkwy and I-10.

The escort will travel on Ambassador Caffery to Johnston Street, then travel south on Johnston Street to East Broussard Road, and ending on East Broussard Road at the Vermilion River. The escort will be moving at slow speeds and intersections will be shutdown as the equipment maneuvers through the intersections.

Drivers should expect delays as the move is expected to take several hours.
