The new centralized registration program for Lafayette Parish School students gets underway this week for the upcoming school year. It's designed to help parents of children who will be attending a different school because they moved from outside or within Lafayette Parish.
During Tuesday's installment of "Brewing Issues" we spoke with Superintendent Dr. Pat Cooper who says the process begins Wednesday.
"We've got six different days. We got June 26th and 27th, July 17th and 18th, August 7th and 8th. It's going to be at Lerosen Elementary which is at 516 East Pinhook. It'll be from eight o'clock to six o'clock every day."
Dr. Cooper says parents who are registering their children should bring a copy of a utility bill to verify their address, along with birth certificates and immunization records. If you have any questions, you can call the school board office at 521-7090.
