An 11-year-old girl from Leonville has died from injuries she sustained in a Saturday crash. State Troopers say Anna Trahan had succumbed to her injuries on Monday.

On June 15, a 16-year-old male was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra west on US Highway 190 west of Port Barre. 44-year-old Debra Trahan of Leonville, was traveling in front of the 16-year-old in her 1998 Mercury Sable. Trahan had slowed down in preparation of making a left turn.  As she was slowing, her vehicle was struck from behind by the 16-year-old.

Trahan was restrained and sustained no injuries. Anna Trahan was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. A third juvenile occupant in Trahan's vehicle was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. The 16-year-old was not injured in the crash.
