LUS Fiber released the findings of its last year's audit. City-Parish President Joey Durel calls it good news.
According to the report, LUS Fiber has reached a cash positive standing. Defined as money that's cash left over after expenses. Right now it sits at $1.4 million. Last year the consolidated owned company was $4 million under cash positive.
"We're probably ahead of where I thought we would be at this stage up until now." said Durel.
We're also told the city's general fund which only had about a few days of surplus in 2012 - enters the next fiscal year with a spending surplus of 81 days.
