Deputies seek suspect in attempted first degree murder

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for a man, wanted for the attempted murder of two people.

It happened Saturday night on the 600 block of Berlin Drive. Deputies say 35-year-old Johnny Alexander was going to visit his ex-girlfriend at her apartment. An attempt to reconcile their relationship, but things didn't go well; Alexander pulled a hand gun and his ex-girlfriends room mate tried to calm the situation. Alexander allegedly shot the 23-year-old man three times and is now in the hospital in serious but stable condition. He also shot at his ex-girlfriend but missed then fled the scene.

Alexander is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and is considered armed and dangerous. He's described as being 5"11 to 6"1 and between 135 to 140lbs.
