After hours of deliberation, 42-year-old Daniel Harmon Jr. was found guilty for the 1989 second-degree murder of Christine Marie Wood.

The jury went behind closed doors just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after closing arguments on the trial's fifth day. After nine hours of deliberating the jury came back with a 10 to 2 verdict.

The conviction carries an automatic life prison sentence with no parole. Harmon's sentencing is set for May 30.
