Estherwood man arrested for allegedly making bomb threat

Press Release Update: Crowley Police responded to a complaint at Wal Greens regarding a bomb threat. (Sunday evening)

Officers responded and management advised that a subject was asked to leave due to previous problems in the store. The subject left prior to police arrival, however made comments regarding finding the bomb before it explodes (detonates) to the manager.

"Our officers went through the building and confirmed there was no devise inside. We take these threats serious and even though majority are false, we choose not to place our businesses or citizens in harms way."

The suspect has been identified as Sy Suire, 32 of Estherwood. Suire has arrested with the assistance of Estherwood Police. He is currently being booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for one count of Terrorizing.

 


Crowley police have arrested a 32-year-old Estherwood man for allegedly making a bomb threat at a Walgreens in Crowley.

Authorities say management asked the man to leave the store due to a previous problem. The suspect left the store but made comments to the manager regarding finding the bomb before it explodes.

Sy Suire was booked Sunday night with one count of terrorizing. He is currently being held in the Acadia Parish Jail.
