The St. Landry superintendent search has been going on since October 2011, but the parish board met Thursday night to interview the remaining two candidates and hopefully come close to the end of their search.
At the special meeting, Edward Brown and Interim Superintendent Joseph Cassimere stood in front of the school board and 28 audience members going over their visions for the parish as future superintendent.
Finances and improving grades were among the top priorities for both candidates as well as bridging gaps between the board, residents, teachers, school officials and students.
The next meeting for the board is May 2 at the board office, where Brown or Cassimere could be walking away as superintendent.
