The Bayou Vermilion District celebrated Earth Day at Vermilionville on Sunday.

Organizers say the celebration is geared to help inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. Various community organizations and businesses were on hand for green demonstrations, presentations, exhibits and tours.

There was also live music performances from T'Monde, Lee Benoit & Bayou Stompers as well as Chris Segura & Friends.
