The first week of the 2013 Legislative Session wrapped up Thursday night, leaving many lawmakers pleased with how it's shaping up. District 40 State representative Ledricka Thierry said she was happy the governor scrapped his tax swap proposal.
Thierry said she knew going into the session that Governor Jindal's tax plan would be the most debated topic and was an issue the people of Louisiana expressed concern over daily.
"We got thousands of phone calls daily leading up to session. Our phone lines were so busy we couldn't even take calls. I want to say we appreciate him listening to us and good to know he is willing to change plan to accommodate" says Thierry.
Thierry was featured on Passé Partout Friday morning during our segment called "Brewing Issues". The series runs weekdays between 6 and 7 am where elected officials speak about the issues facing our state.
