Parrot Stolen from Zoo Dies of Injuries

Another parrot stolen from the Zoo of Acadiana early Wednesday morning has died. Kiwi, who suffered from head trauma and internal bleeding, has died from his injuries zoo officials confirmed.

Broussard police say 35-year-old Yongcun Su of New Iberia led police on a high speed chase after stealing Kiwi and two other birds.

Su crashed his vehicle not far from the zoo and later died from his injuries along with one of the birds.

The third bird, Baby Blue, is still missing. If you see Baby Blue, you're asked to call the Zoo of Acadiana at 837-4325.
