The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is asking people to get rid of the prescription pills that are no longer needed.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013. The semi-annual event gives people an opportunity to turn in unused, unwanted or unnecessary prescription drugs they have at home. The drugs will be turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency for safe and proper disposal.
There are three sites you'll be able to drive through to drop off:
Lafayette Consolidated Government building located on 705 West University. Runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
