Teen Suspect Arrested Car Thefts


One teen is in jail after attempting to steal a truck from a local car dealership. Lafayette Parish Deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 1300 block of Roper Road at 3:00 AM Thursday.

Deputies were able to intercept a stolen truck from 18 year old Kenneth Taylor. During the investigation deputies discovered three vehicles had been stolen from the same car lot.

One vehicle was recovered on Lebeqsue Road in Lafayette. Authorities are looking for a white 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck bearing license plate B507708.

Taylor has been charged for felony motor vehicle theft and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Additional arrests are expected.
