Teen Killed in Lafayette Shooting - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

 

Lafayette, LA - On March 15, 2013, at approximately 5:30 pm, Lafayette Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Hilda Street regarding a shooting. The victim, a male under the age of 17, was standing in a yard when the suspect approached him. According to witnesses, the victim attempted to flee the scene on foot when the suspect shot the victim one time. The suspect fled the scene following the shooting and the victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and developing leads in an attempt to identify the suspect. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown. The investigation remains ongoing.
