George Fisher Vigil This Friday - Acadiana's Multi-Media News Station

The Saint Landry Parish community is preparing to honor a local advocate.  A vigil will be held Friday at St. Luke Baptist Church at 7:00 P.M. To honor the life and legacy of George Fisher.

Fisher passed away on Sunday after a tragic car accident. Fisher is best remembered as facilitator of Saint Landry's School Board, a member of Black Man 7, and a radio personality.

Fisher will also be honored Thursday night at the Saint Landry Democrat's first Lifetime Achievement Awards Banquet later this evening.
