Congratulations to North Vermilion High School for placing in the 12th Annual Louisiana Seafood Prostart Student Competition.
Eight students traveled to Kenner earlier this week to show off their culinary skills in a two day competition at the Ponthartrain Center in Kenner. Teams from all across the state participated in hopes to win over up to $87,000 in scholarships. The competition is hosted by the Louisiana Restaurant Association to attract students to meaningful and rewarding careers in culinary and hospitality industries.
The competition featured two primary components: the culinary competition and the management competition. North Vermilion High school placed 1st in the culinary competition for knife skills.
