NEW YORK, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrated Finnish design house Marimekko will create an atmospheric dining environment for the upcoming DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) DINING BY DESIGN event.
The annual four-day showcase brings together luminaries in the worlds of fashion, interior design and architecture. Building on an over 60-year heritage of bold textile, fashion and home design, Marimekko will partner with Studios Architecture on a table inspired by their own Weather Diary collection Comprising fabrics, tableware and kitchen accessories among others, the new collection features a palette of prints, painted by Marimekko designer Aino-Maija Metsola, embodying the whole range of autumnal weather patterns. Marimekko's table will be showcased at the Gala Dinner, which kicks-off the 4-day long DINING BY DESIGN celebration on March 21st, 2013. It will also be on display during the public viewing from March 21st – March 24th, held in conjunction with the Architectural Digest Home Show at Pier 94 (12th Avenue at 55th Street).
