Acadiana Culinary Classic Winners

  Chefs representing restaurants across Acadiana came away the big winners Monday evening at the 28th annual Acadiana Culinary Classic at the Cajundome Convention Center.  The night began with a wine expo, then culinary experts from throughout south Louisiana competed in the categories of soup, salad, vegetables, meat and veal, wild game, pork and lamb, poultry, shellfish, finfish, bread, dessert and a new "healthy option" category.

Winner of the grand prize of "Best in Show" was Scott McCue of Cypress Bayou Casino for his dish called "Veal Crepinette with Truffled Veal Mousse served with Morel and Cognac Cream Reduction."

Congratulations to all of the winners!  All proceeds benefit Hearts of Hope, a non-profit organization the provides support services and counseling for the sexually abused.
