Lafayette Fatal Crash

On March 3, 2013, at approximately 11:00 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 3200 block of Cameron Street.  According to investigators, a Chevrolet pickup was traveling west on Cameron Street when for unknown reasons left the roadway and struck a utility pole.  The driver of the vehicle, Wilton John Hamilton (54) of Duson, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The crash remains under investigation.

Authorities are currently investigating a single vehicle accident. It happened late last night on Cameron Street. Our crews on the scene say one person died as a result of the crash. As soon as we get more information, we'll pass it along to you.
