Broussard Crime Decreases in 2012

The Broussard Police Department has a lot to be proud of following recently released statistics.

During Tuesday nights city council meeting, Police Chief Brannon Decou announced that 2012 was one of the best years for his department.

Statistics showed crime related incidents were down in seven categories, except for two of them.

Chief Decou attributes the decrease in crime to the hard work put fourth by his department.

"I work hard, my team works hard, we are completely dedicated to the people so this city remains safe."

Rob Mallia takes a closer look at the statistics including areas that saw an increase in this report.
