
A state lawmaker has pre-filed a bill that would restrict traffic camera citations to those not living in the area where the devices are located.
Republican representative Paul Hollis is behind the bill.
He says citizens who live in areas where cameras have been approved have voted for the officials who authorize them
but drivers who are unaware of the cameras' placement and who did not indirectly support their use should not be subject to penalties as a result.
