On February 17, 2013 at about 8:30 PM, deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office responded to an armed robbery near the 400 Block of Fontelieu Drive.
The victims, males ages 15 and 16, said they were driving in a vehicle on Fonteleau Drive when 3 black males approached their vehicle and then pointed a handgun and a taser at the victims and demanded money.
According to the victims, as they were being held at gunpoint, the suspect with the taser then tased both of the victims. The suspects then fled the area on foot. The victims stated they then drove to a location on Admiral Doyle Drive where they asked someone to contact the Sheriff's Office and report that they had been robbed.
The suspects were described as three black males, one wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt the other a black hooded sweatshirt and the third was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate any of the suspects. Acadian Ambulance arrived on scene and evaluated the injuries of the two victims.
Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident and are also asking if anyone has information of the incident to contact the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-369-3711.
