Governor Bobby Jindal has proposed to get rid of the state income tax., replacing it with a higher state sales tax.
It's an idea that many states have in place and have seen success in. Take our neighboring state of Texas.
They have no income tax and in 2011 had the fourth fastest growing economy in the nation.
But many worry that if Louisiana were to take that route, low income and middle class families would fare the worst.
