Lafayette Parish Tax Talks

Lafayette City Parish Council Chairman Brandon Shelvin called for a meeting this coming Monday to discuss Lafayette Parish taxes.

This meeting will be the first step taken by parish leaders to possibly come up with a new tax proposal for city parish government.

The Lafayette Parish School Board, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, the five smaller municipalities in the parish and several other local government entities that will benefit from the new tax proposal were invited to the meeting.

The meeting will be held in the council auditorium at the main city-parish government offices.
