Teen Arrested in Abbeville Double Murder

On the morning of 2/12/13 at 08:03, the Abbeville Police Department responded to an
address on Alphonse Street for the complaint of shots fired. Upon arrival the officers
discovered that two male subjects had been shot and died from the wounds. The officers
obtained statements from the witnesses who knew and observed the suspect who shot the
two men.

The investigation led officers to begin searching for D'Andre Sinegal (17) of Abbeville.
After assistance from other agencies, to check possible whereabouts D'Andre Sinegal
was located at an address on Pine Street in Abbeville. D'Andre Sinegal was arrested and
charged with two counts of First Degree Murder. He was booked at the Abbeville Police
Department and then transferred to the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center. Further
charges are still being investigated.

The Abbeville Police Department is still conducting interviews on witnesses and
continuing the investigation. Anyone having information in this matter is asked to

The Abbeville Police Department would also like to thank the Vermilion Parish Narcotics
Task Force, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Department, the Louisiana State Police, the
Lafayette City Marshal's Office and the Lafayette Police Department for their assistance
in this investigation.
