New court filings reveal that convicted killer, Brandon Scott Lavergne asked a judge to release the names of grand jury witnesses who testified against him, among other things.
He also asked the judge to release a secretly recorded meeting of him and his ex-wife while he was in jail in 2004.
In a letter, Lavergne also asked the judge why his court filings were made public to media. In the letter, Lavergne said he felt the media and public's opinion could influence the judgement of the court, and could damage his ability to ever receive a fair trial.
He further asked that a gag order be placed on the district attorney and the state as a whole to prevent the releasing of anymore information concerning his case.
