LGC Pothole Liability

At Tuesday night's council meeting, Lafayette officials discussed the administrative policy as it relates to the filing of claims related to property damage.

Courts uphold that if LCG has been put on notice that there is a pothole or rotten tree limb and they don't take action, then LCG could possibly be responsible for paying for the claim.

The city's risk manager says LCG has 36 hours to fix potholes after being notified.
